A forest designed and maintained according to Jewish gardening transitions with educational aspects of reproducing the forest and practices elsewhere in celebration of Jewish culture. The forest grows just beyond the walls of the Auschwitz prison and may one day consume the prison itself. Individual trees represent the life force and recognition of the lives lost at Auschwitz as a counterpoint to focusing only on the memory of their deaths. Synagogue structures are grown from the cumulative roots of the forest and form the nutrient connection points for mycelial networks.
